Business History As a native of Eugene, Oregon I have a long history of business in this area. In 1980 I created a small business in college for a term paper called "Little Shine Company". After the assignment I ran a small detail and paint business on the side thru college and my term in the military. In 1986 I established a automotive service company, "Classic Shine Auto Mall Inc." Over a five year period the company grew to be the largest detail service center in Lane County, Oregon, with 20 employees and $400,000+ in gross sales. In 1991 I added a full-service auto collision and paint department. Over a 5 year period the department grew into a $500,000 gross income entity. In July I sold the department in order to concentrate on a new division, sales of parts and service. In two years the parts and accessory division grew to an average gross income of $50,000 per month. In 1999 I sold Classic Shine Auto Mall Inc. and the business as a successful and profitable organization. Today the business is under new ownership and is doing very well. Year 2000 I joined "Oregon Business Properties, Inc." a business brokerage firm servicing the state of Oregon as an associate. I am now using my business education and experience to help other entrepreneurs with their business needs. I am having a great time and the personal rewards are felt every time I help someone get into business or move on from a business they have owned.
